Summary of report content

Healthwatch Wirral conducted an Enter and View visit to Wirral Women and Children's Hospital in June 2019.

The report found that the maternity unit was clean, spacious and fully equipped. Staff were observed treating patients and family members with dignity and respect. The children's ward appeared to be clean and tidy with areas equipped for different ages. The neonatal unit had well equipped rooms and staff were observed treating babies and supporting parents.

One recommendation was made that Healthwatch would like to see the timetable for completion of the expansion to the Neo Natal Unit.
