Healthwatch Telford & the Wrekin undertook an Enter and View visit to Hatton Court Care Home on 24 November 2019 as part of a programme of announced Enter and View visits to care homes locally. They spoke to 2 staff, 5 residents and 8 relatives.

The report considers whether the home and its assessment/reablement unit has strong and visible management, well trained staff who have the time to do the job and know the residents; offer a varied programme of activities, offer a quality choice of food and mealtimes, ensure access to health care; accommodate residents lifestyle and cultural needs, encourage feedback and provide a safe environment for relatives.

The report includes 17 recommendations about staffing, engagement, décor and furnishings, information provision, food choices and safety.
