Healthwatch Rochdale undertook an Enter and View visit to Lyndhurst Care on 26 November 2019 as part of a programme of announced Enter and View visits to care homes in the Rochdale borough. They spoke to 4 staff, 2 residents and 3 relatives.

The report considers whether the home has strong and visible management, well trained staff who have the time to do the job and know the residents; offer a varied programme of activities, offer a quality choice of food and mealtimes, ensure access to health care; accommodate residents lifestyle and cultural needs, encourage feedback and provide a safe environment for relatives.

The report includes 4 recommendations about information about residents’ likes and dislikes; mealtimes; dementia friendly environment and first aid boxes.
