Annual report 2019-2020

This is Healthwatch Northamptonshire’s annual report for 2019-20. During this year, they gathered feedback from around 1,500 people about their health and care experiences. They focused on local mental health crisis and support provision, ensured children and young people have a voice in decision making through their young Healthwatch group and projects, worked with Northampton Adult Social Services to review the customer feedback, kept abreast of changes to the way primary care is organised and how public are involved, engaged with people about the NHS Long Term Plan and continued to contribute to the Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership. They also continued to provide high quality and accessible information and worked in partnership with others to have the most influence and impact.

The report contains a message from the chief executive officer of Healthwatch Northamptonshire which highlights their priorities for the year ahead which includes informing commissioners and providers about people’s health and social care needs and experiences during the pandemic.
