Healthwatch Wakefield set out their achievements for the year 2019/20. 85 volunteers helped to carry out their work. They employed 11 staff They received £264,135 in funding from the local authority in 2019-20.
942 people shared their health and social care story with Healthwatch Wakefield. 277 people accessed Healthwatch advice and information, signposting or contacted them with questions about local support.
17,620 people 13,203 visited Healthwatch Wakefield’s website, with 12,718 new visitors this year; 2,511 people connected with them through social media; and 1,906 people engaged with them at 150 community events, not including Young Healthwatch work.
Healthwatch Wakefield published 9 reports about the improvements people would like to see with their health and social care, and from this, they made 53 recommendations for improvement.
