Summary of report content

Healthwatch Hartlepool undertook an Enter and View visit to Clifton House Care Home on 1 August 2019 because the issue of dignity and wellbeing in local care homes is a priority for them.

The report looks at the safety of residents, catering, décor and furnishing, activates on offer, independence of residents and the quality of care.   Healthwatch Hartlepool observed good interaction between staff and residents. Residents seemed to be happy.  All the residents felt that the staff treated them with respect and respected their privacy.

There was one recommendation asking staff to refer to Healthwatch Hartlepool if or when problems arise regarding residents' admissions to or discharges from hospital.

The report includes a response from the provider.
