Summary of report content

Healthwatch Wirral undertook an Enter and View visit to Derwent Lodge Care Home on 17 July 2019.

Healthwatch observed friendly and caring interaction between staff and people living at the home. They had concerns about the number of call bells ringing, staff not being in uniform and staffing levels being low. They also felt that Derwent Lodge would benefit from a refurbishment of the environment and heating system.

There were 5 recommendations. The report includes a detailed response from the provider with comments on the findings.
