Summary of report content

Report describing findings from an enter and view visit conducted by Healthwatch Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead. A number of different methods were used to gather experiences from patients including before and after surveys, observation, engagement during the visit and liaison with the centres Patient Participation Group.

They found that people were largely positive about their experiences when attending the centre and many cited location as being essential to this. Not many used the surgeries website to access appointments or information and only around 50% of patients engaged said they managed to see the GP of their choice which can affect continuity of care. Awareness about the Patient Participation Group was also very low which Healthwatch recommended to be addressed.

The report contains a response from the Practice Manager who is working through the recommendations although there are no details of tangible changes made.
