Enter and View: Newhey Manor Residential Care Home

On 22^nd August 2019, Healthwatch Rochdale undertook an Enter & View visit to Newhey Manor Care Home. They found a strong and visible management and skilled staff to do their job; the staff had a good knowledge of each individual resident and were aware of their needs, the home provided a physical environment which suited the needs of the residents; it also offered a variety of programme of activities as well as quality, choice and flexibility around food and mealtimes; the home also ensured that residents were able to regularly see health professionals such as GPs, dentists, opticians or chiropodists; the residents’ personal, cultural and lifestyle needs were accommodated and the home had an open environment where feedback was actively sought and used. The report made there recommendations but contains no response from the providers.
