Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire conducted an Enter and View visit on the 6th February 2019 to White Rose Lodge care home. They engaged with 13 residents, staff and visitors during the visit.
They found that the home was well-maintained with a pleasant garden area and summerhouse. There are regular hairdressing, manicure, podiatry and optical services provided for residents. From conversations with residents and relatives, it was made clear that that the home and its staff are always ready to help and give proper attention to the specific needs of each individual in a caring, friendly way; they linked this experience with what they perceived to be the good levels of staffing provided at the home.
Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire made two recommendations including that the laminate flooring in the upstairs toilet needs to be repaired for health and safety reasons, and teat the fire directional signage should be made more visible for residents.
No response was received from the service provider.
