The Enter and View representatives found that the home was clean and that there was a high level of safety and security for the residents. The residents could access a range of health services within the home, including hair dressing, speech and language specialists and dietitians. A range of activities were on offer for the residents to take part in. The residents reported that the staff a caring and helpful, with the same staff working throughout the home. Residents are able to paint their bedroom door and use pictures. Relatives reported that they would feel comfortable raising a complaint should they need to. Person-centred care was evident throughout the home and staff reported that this was important in their duties.
Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire recommended that the notice boards need to be de-cluttered so that residents can clearly see the relevant information. They also recommended that activities could be advertised more obviously in various parts of the home so that all residents are aware.
The service provider responded positively to the report and stated that they will share the report with their stakeholders.
