Summary of report content

On 24th May 2019, Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin undertook an Enter and View visit to the Rylands Nursing and Residential Home. The home provides personal and nursing care and had 40 single bedrooms, of which 34 were occupied at the time of the visit. There were 12 residential and 22 residents receiving nursing care. Healthwatch staff spoke to both residents and relatives. All residents seemed happy and comfortable; they appeared clean, tidy and well dressed; most residents found the food to be good; staff working at the home received a lot of positive reviews from the residents. Residents raised staffing issues which was acknowledged by the management. The report made four recommendations and contains a response from the provider.
