Enter and View: Four Oaks Care Home

On 24^th April 2019, Healthwatch Trafford undertook an Enter and View visit to Four Oaks care home. The home provides nursing and residential care for up to 62 elderly residents. At the time of the visit there were 62 residents living at the home. More than half were living with various levels of dementia. The home was bright, modern, well maintained, warm and odour free, with a variety of notice boards displaying information for residents and visitors and staff members engaged with the residents in a kind manner. Staff enjoyed working at the home and expressed confidence in their new Manager. Healthwatch Trafford also mailed questionnaires to the relatives of the residents. They found that 80% of people felt their relative living at Four Oaks were treated with kindness and compassion. A previous CQC inspection in 2018 had given ‘Good’ rating to the home. The report made 7 recommendations and contains a response from the provider.
