Healthwatch Barking and Dagenham conducted an Enter and Visit view to Thames View Medical Centre.on the 20th March 2019. The purpose of this visit was to monitor the services based on feedback received from the public. They looked at the following areas of service: appointment waiting times, consultation times, staff conduct, urgent appointments, quality and standards of information. 

Healthwatch spoke to 23 patients and the practice manager. Overall, people described their experience positively. Feedback in terms of routine appointments was varied; some people waited a week or less for their appointment, whilst others had waited more than two weeks. 

Overall, Healthwatch felt it had been a positive visit. They did make several recommendations about making information visually clearer in the practice and ensuring there is more privacy for patients when discussing private information.
