This is a report by Healthwatch Redbridge. The project looked at the potential impact of the cost of living on access to healthcare.
A survey was used to gather local people's views. Awareness of the survey was raised through outreach events in the local area.
There was evidence that the cost of living rising was impacting people's decisions to access various aspects of health and care.
There are recommendations in this report. Improvements are suggested to the following areas:
- Prescriptions
- Travel
- Dental care
- Remote bookings and appointments
- Benefits
There are no follow up actions in this report. However the NHS trust has responded to the report.
