Summary of report content

Healthwatch Brighton and Hove have reported a summary of their activities and performance indicators between April and September 2023.

The three key topics during this period were feedback during an engagement event, GP website reviews, and an enter and view visit at the maternity ward at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. They shared a total of 16 reports with Healthwatch England on a range of topics.

Feedback they received via their email, website and helpline were mostly concerns and complaints about a health and social care service. Five leading areas of concern were:

  • Poor quality of care from a GP
  • Lack of an NHS dentist
  • Poor hospital care
  • Difficulties accessing GP appointments
  • Concerns about an emergency department

This report also summarises the influence and impact of their activities as well as the support provided to people in their community during this period. The report concludes by summarising topics for future projects.
