Healthwatch Liverpool gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Liverpool to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.
Healthwatch Liverpool visited Margaret Thompson Medical Centre on Monday 2nd September 2013.
The summary of findings of in relation to interviews with those that use the service, staff and observations. The issues identified during the visit mostly related to the need to decorate areas as outlined in the report. The development of the Patient Participation Group will help the practice to improve the appointment system. The good practice i.e. the children’s area, the information available to patients and the lunch time development sessions for staff could be shared with other practices.
There was 8 recommendations within this report in relation to car parking, building/facilities, décor, facilities and PPG Group.
