Summary of report content

Healthwatch Halton gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Halton to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.

Healthwatch Halton visited Ryan Care Residential Home on 09/04/2014.

The findings inform Ryan Care Residential Home is a small, family run, care home. The home had a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The residents and relatives they spoke with were very happy both with the home and the high levels of care offered by the staff.

The report contains 2 recommendations which include improve signage outside the building to cut confusion with the adjoining Sheltered Housing unit. Continue with the good practice that is already taking place in the home.
