Summary of report content

Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.

Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire visited Acorn (Out-patients), Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby on 13 July 2015.

The summary of findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation. The findings informed their was no major issues emerged regarding patient experiences in this area except for occasional length of wait to be seen. Two patients made comments about their perceptions of consultant attitude towards their previous miscarriages and we have asked for a response on this.

The report includes 1 recommendations which includes for the provider to comment on the perceived attitude of the consultant and ensure he is made aware of these concerns.
