Summary of report content

Healthwatch North Tyneside report on the key themes in the feedback they received in 2022/23. During that period, 2,628 people engaged with them at 98 events and 3,579 people shared their experiences.

Key themes were:

  • Quality of care is high
  • Staff are doing their best
  • Access to information can be a struggle
  • Waiting, delays and cancellations are an issue
  • More needs to be done to connect and integrate services
  • Choice is important
  • Increases in the cost of living is impacting on health and wellbeing
  • Transport continues to be a concern for many
  • Some people are paying for private treatment because of delays
  • People say they think services are getting worse
