Healthwatch North Tyneside report on the key themes in the feedback they received in 2022/23. During that period, 2,628 people engaged with them at 98 events and 3,579 people shared their experiences.
Key themes were:
- Quality of care is high
- Staff are doing their best
- Access to information can be a struggle
- Waiting, delays and cancellations are an issue
- More needs to be done to connect and integrate services
- Choice is important
- Increases in the cost of living is impacting on health and wellbeing
- Transport continues to be a concern for many
- Some people are paying for private treatment because of delays
- People say they think services are getting worse
