Healthwatch Sandwell undertook an Enter and View visit to the Outpatients’ clinics at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre on 11 July 2023. They spoke to 18 patients and 3 staff.

The report looks at:

  • The external environment, including signage and transport access
  • The internal environment
  • Patients’ experiences of waiting times for appointments, overall experience of the service; booking appointments; access, staff attitude, information, choice, being listened to and involved.
  • Staff experiences, including training and meeting people’s communication needs
