Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire conducted an announced/unannounced Enter and View visit, as part of a planned set of visits looking at the care provided, specifically around how the homes are able to support residents with additional needs.
Healthwatch North East Lincolnshire visited Garden House, on 14/08/2015.
The summary of findings highlighted residents seem comfortable and cared for. Staff are happy in their role, welcoming and were willing to speak to us. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The recommendation informed name badges for all staff. Odour control in the main lounge. Check that grab rails or a support structure is in all residents toilets. Discuss with service users and relatives for those wanting to, and where it would be appropriate the possibility of having names and/or photographs on residents rooms to aid their orientation. Ensure staff wear gloves and hair covering during food preparation in the kitchen.
