Healthwatch Leicestershire gather information on people’s experiences of health and social care services and there are times when it is appropriate for Healthwatch Leicestershire to see and hear for themselves how services are being delivered: these visits are called ‘Enter and View’, they are not inspections.
Healthwatch Leicestershire visited The Surgery, Ashby on 9 July 2015.
The summary of findings highlighted areas in relation to patient feedback, staff feedback and observation. The findings included information and notices for patients was very clearly displayed in the foyer and reception areas. They observed the Surgery staff and doctors interacting well with patients. They saw the patients using the self-service point quickly and efficiently. Patients told us that they were happy with the service they received at the surgery. They saw patients with mobility issues accessing the building with ease.
Healthwatch Leicestershire raised 7 recommendations in relation to information providing, signage and equipment.
