Healthwatch Bucks conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit, as part of a planned set of visits looking at the care provided, specifically around how the homes are able to support residents with additional needs.

Healthwatch Bucks visited Chesham Leys, on 07/09/2018.

Chesham Leys provides nursing care for those over 65 many of whom are living with dementia. Healthwatch Bucks talked to 2 relatives, 3 staff members and 4 residents and observed another 17 residents and staff.

The summary of findings included: Chesham Leys has a high proportion of agency staff; Staff are not always aware of individual needs and there seems to be minimal social interaction between them and residents.
