Enter and view: Croftwood Care Home

Healthwatch Halton did this Enter and View to learn more about the service and to find out where the service appeared to be doing especially well, in addition to finding out if any improvements could be made. The visit was not in response to any prior feedback or concerns identified relating to the quality of the service.

The Enter and View took place on 13 February 2023.  Croftwood Care Home is registered to provide accommodation and personal care for up to 47 older people, younger adults and people living with dementia. It is located in a residential area of Runcorn.

The report is broadly positive about the care home. It contains six recommendations.

1. Ensure information on Healthwatch Advocacy Services is available.
2. Notice boards could be less cluttered and more up to date.
3. Bedroom corridors are very plain and could be made more attractive.
4. Signage should be improved.
5. The decor would benefit from interior redecoration.
6. Ensure that personal files are not left unattended.
