Summary of report content

Healthwatch Milton Keynes conducted an Enter and View visit at Neath House Care Home on 24 August 2022 to explore experiences of social isolation and physical activity. They spoke to nine residents.

Neath House Care Home has capacity for up to 47 residents. The home has been recently refurbished and is presented clean and tidy. There are activities each week and the monthly activities schedule is displayed on in multiple places throughout the building.

Staff are encouraged to spend time with residents and all staff appeared caring and respectful. Residents made generally positive comments about the food an residents are provided with options.

The report concluded with one recommendation to continue dementia friendly service by inviting organisations to assess residents whose dementia may have progressed during the pandemic. The report was passed on to management at the home.
