Healthwatch Hartlepool undertook an Enter and View visit to Warrior Park Residential Care Home on 12 July 2022. The aim of the visit was to review progress and change since the last visit in November 2018. They spoke to four residents.
Warrior Park Residential Care Home has capacity for 52 residents, and at the time of these visits there were 48 residents.
The staff was interactive with the patients and residents said staff treated them with respect. Residents are able to go to bed when they want and can choose where to eat – staff always provides assistance.
Residents report feeling safe living in the home and are aware of how to make complaints, if necessary. The building is well maintained and there were improvements since the last visit in November 2018. There is training available for staff.
The report concluded with a few minor recommendations, including increasing the amount of activities, continuing the use of the newsletter and encouraging oral hygiene among residents.
