Summary of report content

Healthwatch Liverpool undertook a listening event on 8 December 2022 at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital to gather feedback about the hospital from patients and visitors. They spoke to 45 people.

  • Almost all patients would rate the hospital 4 or 5 stars out of 5.
  • Four in five patients made positive comments about the hospital overall, and specifically mentioned the quality of the staff, care and efficiency of the hospital.
  • Nearly nine in ten patients thought the staff had enough time to spend with patients.
  • Over four in five had been given enough information about their treatment by the hospital.
  • Nearly three quarters were able to understand the signage and get round the hospital.
  • Three in five were happy with the standard of food and drink at the hospital.
