Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warrington Enter and View report on Stockton Heath Medical Centre following a visit to the surgery on 7th October 2016

The report is very thorough in its content although focussed a lot on the building rather than clinical services.

Healthwatch Warrington had 13 surveys completed by patients on the day. The survey questions focused on patient’s access experiences at the surgery, although there is no reference to what questions or how many questions were asked. It is unclear how patients were engaged with during the process ie were they just asked to complete the survey or did a more in-depth conversation take place?

A comprehensive list of recommendations were made including signage, general appearance, waiting room improvements and patient feedback.

The provider responded but no obvious sign of impact was achieved.
