Healthwatch Isles of Scilly report on Children’s Commissioners take over challenge

A different sort of report in that Healthwatch engaged with 5 young people from a nearby secondary school to discuss issues important to them.

It outlined their reasoning for carrying out the work and listed several recommendations.

The event took place in November 2016 at the Healthwatch offices

After getting the young people to formulate their priorities discussions took place around Mental Health Services, Support for Cancer Patients, Supported Exercise Programmes and Children’s Services.

Each topic resulted in a list of recommendations and a next steps section was listed at the end. An action plan was included in the report which clearly shows some of these recommendations are included.

Despite what appeared to be a positive event unfortunately there is no subsequent reference to impact.
