Following the Grenfell Tower fire, Healthwatch Central West London heard from local people that many of the local community’s questions and concerns had gone unanswered by public bodies. To address this issue between 28 July and 15 September 2017, Healthwatch CWL gathered local concerns.
Healthwatch CWL, at the request of the North West London Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Collaborative, produced an Easy-Read version of the NHS Trauma leaflet. In addition, Healthwatch CWL liaised with the North West London CCG Collaborative to agree translation of these leaflets into languages spoken by local people.
Reponses to the report were received from Royal Borough of Kensington (RBKC) and Chelsea Council and West London CCG and included within the report.
Recommendations included that an independent check is made of the information, support and services set out by RBKC council and NWLCCG to ensure that they are available and accessible to all local people who need to use them, and in turn that they meet the needs of the local population.
