Healthwatch Havering is aiming to visit all health and social care facilities in the Borough as a way of ensuring that all services delivered are acceptable and the safety of the resident, patient or other service-user is not compromised in any way.
This report states that all patients spoken to during the visit were happy with the practice and had no complaints about appointment times or the booking system. Many of the patients had been with the practice for many years however it does not state how many. The report also refers to a Friends and Family survey being carried out every three months.
The report is quite clear on its observational and staff feedback information and mentions that early appointments were reserved for commuters, children are always seen, and elderly patients are given priority. A computer display highlighting the names of elderly, vulnerable and at-risk patients was demonstrated to the team.
It refers to patient numbers in relation to staff available, test results, electronic transfer of patient records, training and medicines monitoring.
Two recommendations were made based on information received from the visit although one was a service wide recommendation rather than GP specific.
