Summary of report content

Healthwatch Sutton wanted to assess how the rising cost of living might be affecting the physical and mental health of local people. Healthwatch Sutton attended the Carshalton Eco-Fair, where they asked people to complete a short survey. 108 people responded.

They found that 41% of respondents are cutting back on heating, and 30% on food spending. Only 20% of respondents said they expect to have no problems over winter. 33% of respondents already experience stress about bills, and 24% go out with friends less than they used to. Respondents also often used words indicating anxiety and concern in their open-text responses.
