Summary of report content

Healthwatch Tameside undertook a survey about delays to care since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.  They received 79 responses.

The report looks at:

  • What conditions people have delayed asking for help with as a result of the pandemic
  • Whether the care had been delayed by the service itself
  • What care people were waiting for
  • How long people had been waiting for and what type of appointment they were waiting for
  • The problems that the wait has caused
  • The support provided in the interim to manage the person’s condition
  • Whether people had got an appointment or treatment now
  • Whether people had been given enough information about their delay in care
