In September 2017, Healthwatch Blackpool representatives conducted an announced Enter and View visit to gather survey responses from 43 patients at Cleveleys Group Practice in Blackpool about the views of people using the service and to observe the environment. Of the 43 surveys collected, not all were completed in full.
The environment appeared clean and tidy with up-to-date information provided. There is disabled access into the centre and recent improvements have been made within the building to improve overall accessibility of services. Most patients booked their appointments by telephone or in person at reception. Of the patients surveyed most of them do not use the online booking service and would not consider using a mobile phone app. Just over a quarter of patients told Healthwatch they have difficulty getting
urgent appointments. Nearly everyone we spoke to found the opening times convenient. Most participants felt listened to, respected and understood during appointments with the rest of patients saying they felt this way ‘most of the time’. A majority of patients also praised convenient opening times and ease of appointment booking.
The report includes a response provided by Cleveleys Group Practice in relation to the report following the activity.
