Summary of report content

In November 2017, Healthwatch Havering carried out an Enter and View visit to Queen’s Hospital in Romford. The visit was part of a wider programme to visit all health and social care facilities in the borough.

Following reports that some of the public areas at the hospital were in a less than desirable condition, Healthwatch Havering decided to focus this Enter & View visit accordingly. A team of Healthwatch members attended the hospital for the visit; they split into three groups for the task.

Areas observed were: the main entrance, the atrium, toilets, reception, main area, corridors, signposting and information, escalator, lifts, stairs and car park.

The report makes 20 recommendations and contains a detailed response from the hospital, addressing each recommendation in full.
