Summary of report content

In June 2018, Healthwatch Herefordshire carried out engagement with local children aged between 10 and 11, under the Crucial Crew programme - a school’s safety day coordinated by the west Mercia police every year for Year Six children in the county.

Healthwatch Herefordshire ran a workshop and engaged with 1,770 children. The survey questions explored physical and emotional health and wellbeing, asking the children about: how they keep healthy, dental health, anxiety and support networks.

The majority of children in the survey had a good awareness of what keeping healthy means and the largest cause of sadness or feeling worried or anxious was arguments.

The report makes recommendations around the key findings. There are no provider responses within the report.
