Summary of report content

Healthwatch Staffordshire undertook an Enter and View visit to Upper Moreton Rural Activities CIC, which provides day services for people with learning difficulties, on 26 February 2019.

The report looks at:

  • Strong visible management
  • Staff with the time and skills to do the job
  • Staff with knowledge of their clients
  • Variety of activities
  • Choice and quality of catering
  • A service that accommodates its clients’ personal, cultural and lifestyle needs
  • A service that seeks and acts on feedback

Healthwatch Staffordshire felt that this type of day services is incredibly important to the service users, allowing them time outdoors and getting exercise in an environment where they won’t necessarily feel they’ve been exercising, as they would in a gym. The clients were observed to be very happy and it has a very positive and calm atmosphere.

There were no recommendations.
