Summary of report content

In July 2013, Healthwatch Barnet carried out an Enter and View visit to Woodfield House, a privately owned Care Home providing Residential Care for 5 residents. The home provides support and care as a precursor to returning to the community and sees itself as a Recovery House.

The visit was part of a planned strategy in response to concerns received from the public about the treatment of Mental Health patients in various locations in the borough.

Four representatives conducted the research over two visits and made observations on: the environment, premises, policies and procedures, staff, resident feedback capture, privacy and dignity, and activities.

The report makes 17 recommendations, and includes a detailed response from the provider.
