Summary of report content

Healthwatch Tameside collated and published the data they collected through surveys, feedback, NHS Complaints and from the Patient Opinion and care Opinion websites throughout 2014.

Within the user stories, they found common themes, with both positive and negative comments. The main themes being: Appointments (GPs and hospital); Communication (explanations, information, listening, advice, and correspondence) and; Staff.

The details are analysed within the report and, as a result, the Healthwatch Tameside Board directed the team to undertake further investigation around the themes. The conclusion of the report outlines how they will go about this and how they will expand on the individuals and groups they make contact with.

The full details of the user stories and the provider responses from the NHS/ Patient Opinion websites are included in the appendices.
