Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an Enter and View visit to Oak Grange on the 23rd of February 2015. The team spoke to residents and staff. They used survey methods during their visit and made general observations.
The report indicated that the residents were happy with the care they received. Numerous activities were provided for the residents to enjoy. The team observed that the environment was clean and well-maintained. Staff commented that they enjoyed working there.
The report made two recommendations for the provider, and one for the local authority. The report recommended the provider develop further measures to reduce staff turnover and revisit the terms of reference of the nurse practitioner, as there was some uncertainty about their role.
The report included a response from the provider, indicating that they were happy with the feedback from Healthwatch.
