Summary of report content

Healthwatch Cheshire West conducted an unannounced Enter and View visit to Daneside Mews Care Home on the 11th of March 2015. Representatives made general observations and spoke to residents, relatives and staff using survey methods.

Overall, the team had the impression that residents were happy and well cared for. Staff seemed to be attentive to the needs of residents. The report noted that the home was clean and tidy, and that plans had already been made to update the décor. The report also noted that the Managers took a very hands on approach and were committed to making improvements in the home.

The report made a number of recommendations related to the environment and décor of the home, as well as some improvements that could be made to the activities area and the laundry services.

The report included a response from the provider. They were happy with the report and indicated that actions were being taken to implement the recommendations in the report.
