Healthwatch Warwickshire did an announced Enter and View visit to Woodlands Surgery, a purpose-built surgery, on 11th August 2015. Signage to the surgery was visible from the road and there is a small car park available with one disabled parking space. The inside of the surgery was clean and tidy with a spacious reception area.
The Healthwatch team found the surgery met most of their observational criteria. The surgery did not have an electronic check-in system. The receptionist would advice patients about delays in the appointments. Forms can be printed in several languages. The team also spoke to a PPG member.
The questionnaire asked the patients attending the surgery about appointments, access, parking, signage, staff attitudes, cleanliness and the quality of care amongst other things. Overall the responses were positive especially about the staff attitudes and treatment.
“I wish I could have come here before. They have done more for us in the 6 months we have been coming here than our last surgery.”
The report makes a couple of recommendations. There was no additional response from the surgery
