Healthwatch Devon conducted an announced Enter and View visit to Crelake House on 23 June 2015. The team engaged with 9 residents and 2 staff members, as well as the owners. The team were also able to speak to 1 relative. The team also made general observations about the home throughout the visit.

The residents indicated that they were happy with their care. The team observed staff members interacting with residents in a positive manner. Residents and staff members told the team that there were a range of activities available to the residents, and that residents had choice around what they participated in.

The report made one recommendation. The team suggested that management pursue their aspirations to provide more activities in the home, through community groups and outside activities.

The report included a response from the service provider. The home’s owners and manager have read the report and were happy with the content.
