Healthwatch England reports on the experiences of health and social care shared with them during the period July to September 2019. During this period over 14,000 people’s views were shared with them.
The report looks at the following emerging issues:
- The poor communication of GP practice mergers and closures that have led to some people being deregistered
- People’s physical health concerns are not always being taken seriously if they also have a mental health condition
- People facing long waiting times for assessments for autism support
- Families and carers not being involved in decisions about people’s diagnosis, treatment and support
There are also sections on continence care and diverse ethnic communities.
