Summary of report content

This is an enter and view report conducted by Healthwatch Brighton and Hove 14 March, 2016. During the visit Healthwatch representatives spoke to 17 people, which included a mix of residents and relatives. A number of staff were also spoken to, but the number is unknown. The visit was announced.

Overall the home was found to be operating to a good standard. Residents seemed to be happy with the care they were receiving.

Recommendations were made as part of this report. A response from the home manager has been attached.

Summary of recommendations:

- Ensure hearing tests conducted regularly and ear cleaning maintained if necessary

- Hearing aid maintenance training

- Improving communication with friends and family about responsibilities
