Healthwatch Wirral created this brief summary report to give the findings of the survey they carried out to find out about young people in Wirral's understanding of mental health.
148 young people responded to the survey and the biggest mental health issues identified were:
1. Anxiety
2. Stress
3. Depression
4. Pressure from family/friends
Ideas generated for what could be done to raise awareness of services included;
More publicity in schools, doctors and on television
More adverts
More posters
Awareness online on social media
More places to go
The summary also mentions what might be the biggest future issues in mental health and what can be done to minimise those issues, as well as looking at awareness of specific organisations in the area delivering mental health services.
