This is an impact report by Healthwatch Bristol on the mental health experiences of students following an engagement with the University of the West of England. The report was published October, 2017.
Ten people responded to the survey.
A set of recommendations were made but the report is not connected to a single provider for response.
Summary of recommendations:
- GPs should provide more varied solutions to depression including non-medicine based routes
- Peer support was found to be important and these groups are encouraged
- More information needed on campus related to stress
