Summary of report content

Healthwatch Birmingham reported on their annual activity for 2018-2019. They reported on how they have made a difference, the impact of raising awareness of health issues and Healthwatch investigations, and the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Quality Standard.

They found that over 1400 people shared their views on health and social care, which is 59% more than last year. Over 380 people contacted our Information and Signposting Line with questions about local support. Healthwatch Birmingham reported on the advice and information they provided people with over the year; their team of volunteers and the work they carried out; and community engagement work with BAME groups, LGBT communities and other specific groups. The report also features messages from Danielle Oum, Healthwatch Birmingham Chair; and Andy Cave, Healthwatch Birmingham Chief Executive Officer.
