Annual report 2018-19

Healthwatch Rochdale reported on their activities during 2018-19. These included: local people sharing their views on accessing GP appointments; a local care home implemented all the recommendations made by Healthwatch Rochdale after an Enter and View visit; Rochdale residents were given the opportunity to share their views on the scale and nature of alcohol harm in Greater Manchester; over 235 people told Healthwatch Rochdale what they think would make the NHS better.

Healthwatch Rochdale also reported on: the services people asked about during the year; 10 top tips to get the most out of GP appointments; five steps to follow when choosing a care home; its new website for local people to speak about NHS and social care services in Rochdale borough; assisting in the donation of hand made bobble hats to Royal Oldham Hospital’s postnatal ward; the work of the team’s volunteers; finances; and plans for the next year. The report also features messages from Healthwatch Rochdale’s Chair and CEO.
